A Right Thread with Total Length of 20 to 30 D A Feed Section Length of 4 to 8 D
A Metering Section Length of 6 to 10 D A Total Number of Parallel Flight Designs of 1
A Flight Helix Angle (Pitch) at the I.D. of 17.66o A Flight Width of 0.1 D
A Feed Section Channel Depth H of 0.15 to 0.20 D A Channel Depth Ratio (Compression) of 2 to 4
The vast majority of extruder screws in service today fall within these design approximations.
