| A Metering Section Length of 6 to 10 D | A Total Number of Parallel Flight Designs of 1 |
| A Flight Helix Angle (Pitch) at the I.D. of 17.66o | A Flight Width of 0.1 D |
| A Feed Section Channel Depth H of 0.15 to 0.20 D | A Channel Depth Ratio (Compression) of 2 to 4 |
| The vast majority of extruder screws in service today fall within these design approximations. |
